Edna Edwards

Edna Hackney Edwards, 84, of Colonial Heights, died Friday, September 2, 2005. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Ruth Daniels Hackney and the widow of James T. Edwards, Sr. and was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Rowland. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by a son James T. Edwards, Jr., grandchildren, Alan Carroll, Greg Carroll, Michael Carroll, Kara Carroll and Chelsea Edwards; five great grandchildren and two sisters, Mildred Simon and Dorothy Harris. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service with the Rev. Ray Haskett officiating. Interment will follow in Old Sparta, N.C. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 6, 2005 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
