Edna Furr

Edna C. Hudson Furr, 79, of Hopewell passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at John Randolph Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Julius and Nancy Ann Hudson; husband, Ira Clyde Furr and a son, Dennis Wayne Furr. Edna lived her life always putting others before herself. She was a member of Abundant Life Pentecostal Holiness Church where she served in positions such as Sunday School Teacher, Treasurer, and Deaconess. Edna is survived by her daughter, Doris Furr Gilliland; granddaughter, Tiffany Archer and husband, Brandon; great grandchildren, Wendy Archer, Chad Archer, and Carly Archer; sister, Dorothy Gayle Slade; brother, Julius R. Hudson, Sr. and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Abundant Life Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow at Bermuda Memorial Park.
