Edna Walker Hatton

February 25, 1927 — October 12, 2021

Edna Walker Hatton of Chester passed away peacefully at The Crossings at Ironbridge on October 12, 2021.
She was the daughter of the late Henry Edgar Walker and Nellie Johnson Walker of Petersburg.
She was predeceased by 2 brothers and 5 sisters.
Edna is survived by 3 children, Joseph F. Edwards Jr. (Nancy), Patricia S. Kazlo (John), and James R. Schell (Sandra). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Edna was a faithful member of First Congregational Christian Church of Hopewell where she served as deaconess for many years. She was also a Past Royal Matron of Harmony Court #11, Order of the Amaranth and the Chester Chapter #121 of the Order of the Eastern Star. Edna was also a USO volunteer in World War II.
Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to Bensley-Bermuda Volunteer Rescue Squad.
A funeral service will be held at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home – Chester Chapel, on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11 AM. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service in the chapel. Interment will be private. Online condolences may be registered to the family at www.jtmorriss.com .
