Edna Taylor Hayes

Edna Taylor Hayes, 85, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013. Born in Cordell, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Jessie Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Roddenberry and late husband, William Hosea Hayes. She retired from Allied Signal with 25 years of service. Mrs. Hayes is survived by three sons, John E. Roddenberry, Richard H. Roddenberry, Jr., and his wife, Linda, Daniel O. Roddenberry and his wife, Deborah; six grandchildren, Katie, Matt, Jay, Nick, Stephanie, and Danielle; and several great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park.
