Edna Josey

Edna Arwood Josey, 97, of Disputanta died Tuesday, March 4, 2008. She was a native of Disputanta, born the daughter of the late Hugh T. & Renna B. Arwood. Mrs. Josey was retired from the United States Postal service after serving over 47 years as a Postal Clerk & Postmaster , was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist in Disputanta where she served as organist and choir director. She is the widow of Grover A. Josey and is survived by her son G. Alexander Josey and wife Nancy of VA Beach; grandchildren Melissa Josey -White and husband Michael White of Ashburn, Barbara Lee Josey of Denver, CO; a great-grandchild Miranda Lillian White of Ashburn, VA; and numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins. She was also preceded in death by her sister Agnes Holdsworth. The family will receive friends Friday, March 7th from 6 to 8 pm at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1pm at Trinity United Methodist Church in Disputanta with the Rev. Bert Cloud officiating.
