Edward Gilbert Fitzgerald

Edward Gilbert Fitzgerald, born September 13, 1953, died on September 19, 2021. Eddie lived hard and enjoyed life. He always rode Harleys, cutting a noticeable figure with his skunk helmet and gleaming smile. You either loved him or hated him and he didn’t really care one way or another.
Preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Wade Fitzgerald, Sr. and Gloria Fitzgerald Gibson, he lived most of his life in Greenville and Amherst when he wasn’t in prison. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Godiva Miller; his brother, Thomas Fitzgerald, Sr. and his loving stepson, Adam Maciejczyk. He left behind his children, Mary Kay Plecker, Sonya Holland (David), Christopher Fitzgerald (Kellie), Crystal Ogden (Rusty) and Ruth Anne Holden (Jason). He will be missed by his close friends and family. He will be sorely missed by the always patient love of his life, Nancy Maciejczyk and her daughter, Erin. He loved all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Plans for a Celebration of Life in Amherst County, VA will be announced at a later date.
