Edward Francis LaRocque, 68, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2007 at Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, VA. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts he was the son of the late Francis Edward LaRocque and Helen Marceluk LaRocque. He retired after 20 years as Chief Petty Officer in the U. S. Navy and served five tours of duty in Vietnam.
Mr. LaRocque is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Eleanor Lewis LaRocque; daughter, Lori Anne Joyner of Smithfield; three sons, Thomas E. Joyner of Spring Grove, Christopher LaRocque of Newport News, and James A. Joyner of Spring Grove; seven grandchildren including Adam Vaughan, Brittany Joyner, and Joseph W. Joyner; and a sister, Judy Bryant of Medford, OR.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Purviance Chapel, Wakefield, assisted the family with arrangements. Condolences may be posted on our website at www.jtmorriss.com .
