Edward Thomas

Edward James Thomas Jr., 55, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2011. He was an Inspector at Genco. Mr. Thomas was a member of Scout Reach. He was also a member of the Boy Scouts of America where he served as Scoutmaster for numerous years, and a member of the Order of the Arrow. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, working with his hands, and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dawnette Baggett Thomas. He is survived by his parents, Shirley Paul Thomas and Helena Charles Thomas; a daughter, Kari Layell and her husband Kevin; five sons, Mark Baggett, Eddie Phelps, Erik Baggett, Keven Thomas, and Nikolas Thomas; four grandsons; one granddaughter; three brothers; three sisters; and numerous relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at the Hopewell chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Condolences may be registered online at www.jtmorriss.com .
