Edwin Jernigan

Edwin Willoughby Jernigan, 90, of Chesterfield died on Monday, December 3, 2007. He retired from Dupont, Nylon Division, after 32 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Jernigan and Reebe Luter Jernigan; his wife of 66 years, Lillian Adkins Jernigan; sisters, Emma Jernigan, Edith Goode, Edna Jernigan and Ethel Perry and brother, Elmer â??Shortyâ? Jernigan. He is survived by his son, Gerald W. Jernigan and wife, Barbara; brother, Carroll Jernigan and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 from 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 2 pm. Burial will follow in Blandford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Colonial Heights Rescue Squad or to Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church.
