Edwin Jr. Gunn

Edwin Maxie Gunn, Jr., 47, of Canton, GA, went to be with the Lord Friday, October 6, 2006. He was born in Petersburg the son of the late Edwin M. Gunn, Sr & Della Fowler Banagan. Eddie was a graduate of DeVry University and was employed by SeaChange International. He is survived by his children Rhiannon, Ryan, Cory, and Christian Gunn all of Canton, GA; sisters Carolyn Crutchfield and husband Gary of Chester and Deborah Gunn Walker and husband Steve of Matoaca; a brother Tommy Barrett and wife Robin of Carson; step-father Felipe Banagan; step-mother Virginia Gunn; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brother Steve Barrett. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 11th at 1 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, Colonial Heights, with Pastor Ray Haskett officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 to 8 pm at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Irrevocable Trust for the Benefit of Descendants of Edwin Maxie Gunn, 14120 Faraday Terrace, Chester, VA, 23831 or to the American Cancer Society.
