Eileen Dawson Yaw, 83, of Chester, VA passed away during a visit to her homeland of England, on July 30, 2004. She was born in Hull, East Yorkshire, England and has been a resident in Chester, Va for 37 years. She is survived by her two loving daughters Susan Yaw Cary and Patricia Labudzik; son-in-law Jack Labudzik; grandchildren John, Anna, Matthew and Laura and one great granddaughter, River Grace. Mrs. Yaw was a vibrant and energetic spirit. Above all a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, she was an accomplished seamstress, dollmaker, artist and gardener, and enjoy sports throughout her life, having collected numerous trophies for golf, bowling and dance. She served her country providing ambulance service in England during WWII and later became a proud citizen of the U. S. A. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at 6:30 PM at the Chester Presbyterian Church, 3424 W. Hundred Rd., Chester, VA 23831 (at the corner of Osborne Rd and Rt. 10). Interment will follow at a later date at the Arlington National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband of 59 years, Edward Yaw.
