Elaine Browning Lyle

Elaine B. Lyle, 81, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Eula Browning; her brothers, Hugh Browning and J. Brooks Browning; and her grandson, Jason Lyle.

Elaine worked as an office manager for a family-owned construction company. She was an active member of Lebanon United Methodist Church, as well as a member of The Friends of Library of Dinwiddie, and several card/game groups which she enjoyed playing with her friends.

In her spare time, Elaine enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, spending time with her grandchildren, and taking trips to the Outer Banks with her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed.

Elaine is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joseph Lyle; sons, David Lyle (Amy) and Travis Lyle (Sandy); grandchildren, Amanda Tullidge (Brant), Timothy Lyle (Samantha Salama), Ethan Lyle (Madison Brookens), and Chloe Lyle; great-grandchild, William Tullidge; and brother, Larry Browning.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 6616 Boydton Plank Road. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Lebanon United Methodist Church, 12450 Courthouse Road, with burial to follow at Asbury Memorial United Methodist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon United Methodist Church.
