Elizabeth Ballard

Josephine Elizabeth Lynn Ballard, 85, passed away Saturday February 2, 2008. She was born in Buena Vista, Virginia and was a resident of Hopewell for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest L. & Blanche Eggleston Lynn, her husband Harry M. Ballard, a daughter Janet Louise Ballard, and a granddaughter Bobbie Jo Ballard. She was a homemaker, a member of 1st Brethren Church of Buena Vista and the Grace Brethren Church of Richmond. She is survived by a daughter Doris B. Lynn & husband Glenn of Richmond, Jerry R.. Ballard & wife Sandra of Hopewell, Robert L. Ballard & wife Jerri of Chesterfield, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a sister Lois L. Smith of Buena Vista. The family will receive friends at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T.Morriss & Son Funeral Home Tuesday February 5, 2008 7:00 to 8:30 PM. A graveside funeral service will be conducted Wednesday February 6, 2008 at11:00 AM in Greenhill Cemetery; Buena Vista, Virginia, with the Rev. Dr. Lewis Brown pastor of Church of the Nazarene, officiating.
