Elizabeth Bennett

Laura Elizabeth â??Bethâ? Mann Bennett, widow of James H. Bennett of Petersburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Susie Andrews Mann of Petersburg, VA and was preceded in death by her two sisters, Aggie M. James of Long Beach, California and Roberta â??Bertaâ? M. Rupley of Kingsport, Tennessee. Beth retired from the Petersburg Public Library and continued to serve the Library for many years after her retirement as a Volunteer. She was a life-long member of Third Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her daughter, Susan B. Edwards of Chester; her son, James Robert â??Bobâ? Bennett (Debbie) of Colonial Heights; granddaughter, Paula S. Edwards of Midlothian; grandson, James R. Bennett, Jr. of Colonial Heights; Beth is also survived by her cousins, Margie A. Woody and Alfred Woody (Virgie) of Richmond, as well as her nephews, John S. Rupley, Jr. (Jackie) of Kingsport, Tennessee and Michael A. Rupley (Barbara) of La Porte, Texas. Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 am Friday, July 1, 2011 at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 â?? 8 pm Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
