Elizabeth ‘Beth’ Hopkins Cole passed away Saturday, November 6, 2004 after a long illness with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Homer ‘Mac’ Cole of Chester, Virginia; two sons Edward ‘Dan’ Cole of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Christopher ‘Brian’ Cole of Woodbridge, Virginia; a daughter, Elizabeth ‘Beth’ Cole of San Diego, California; her mother, Frances Danby Hopkins of Chester, Virginia; two grandchildren, Alec and Erin Cole. She is preceded in death by her father, Edward Henry Hopkins of Lynchburg, Virginia. After raising her three children she worked outside the home as a teacher’s aid and library assistant in Chesterfield County. Beth was a devoted mother and friend to all. She enhanced the lives of everyone who knew her. Visitation will be held at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son on route 10 in Chester, Virginia from 7 to 8:30 PM on Monday, November 8. Funeral services will be held at Chester Presbyterian Church at 11AM, Tuesday, November 9. She will be laid to rest at Center Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Cumberland, Virginia at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be sent to the Chester Presbyterian Church, Chester, Virginia.
