Elizabeth Magee Lee Dunn

Elizabeth Magee Lee Dunn, 99, of Petersburg, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014. Born in Portsmouth, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Clara S. Magee. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Major Felix S. Lee and her husband, Joseph T. Dunn, Jr. Mrs. Dunn was a graduate of Petersburg General Hospital Nursing School and worked as a registered nurse for many years at Kenner Army Hospital. She was also a charter member of St. Marks United Methodist Church. Mrs. Dunn is survived by her children, Thomas F. Lee and wife Ellen of Petersburg, William S. Lee and wife Sandy of Chester, James Dunn and wife Wanda of Galveston, TX, Nancy Jo Dunn of Missouri City, TX, Thomas Dunn and wife Pam of Missouri City, TX, Calvin Dunn and wife Glenda of Chesapeake, and Sandra Kanehl and husband Steve of Suffolk; seven grandchildren, Patrick, Matthew, Tammy, Justin, Dawn, Allie and Emily; eight great-grandchildren, Carter, Henry, Felix, Flora, Kaylee, Jackson, Bailey and Brooks; and a special friend and companion Mary Hill. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, December 22nd at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 23rd at the funeral home with interment to follow in Blandford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to the Petersburg Home for Ladies Fellowship Fund, 311 S. Jefferson St., Petersburg, VA 23803 or to St. Marks United Methodist Church, 225 Claremont St., Petersburg, VA 23805.
