Elizabeth E. Hinton departed this earthly life April 10, 2010.  Called Lizzie by her family, she was one of eight children born to immigrant parents, John and Elizabeth Ermen of the Netherlands. Lizzie received her nickname â??Bootsâ? from her late husband James H. Hinton, Jr., to whom she was married for 55 years. Survivors include her son Jimmy, his wife Winnie, and daughter Karen H. Scott and husband Dennis.  Her sister Hendrina Chandler â??Tootsieâ? of Hampton and brother Theodore â??Teddyâ? Ermen of Virginia Beach.  Grandchildren Andrew F. Scott, Courtney S. Loving and Hillary Hinton Charvet and eight great-grandchildren; all of whom lovingly called her â??Woo-Hooâ?, the name given to her by Andrew, her first grandchild. Special friends, Susan Eliades and her family, Jody Harris and the rest of her church family of First Presbyterian Church. Elizabeth was a homemaker and wonderful cook who was always willing to share with others.  She was an amazingly talented woman who could do everything and fix anything.  She will be joyously remembered and dearly missed. Family will receive friends between 11:00 am and noon, Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church.  Funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm with interment following at Bermuda Memorial Park.
