Elizabeth Martin

November 14, 1930 — November 15, 2021

Elizabeth Russell Martin, 91, of Bumpass, VA, went home to her Lord and Savior on November 15, 2021. Born and raised in Damascus, VA to the late Houston and Oma Lee, she moved to Norfolk with her late husband William “Tommy” Martin and later to Richmond. She is survived by her son, Darrell (Becky); grandchildren, Amy (Anthony), Heidi (Jud), Jane, and Maryann; and her great-grandchild, Gianna. She is also survived by her loving siblings, Peggy and Jimmy (Pam). She is preceded in death by her siblings, Evelyn, Houston Jr., Walter, Jack, and Randolf.
“Libby” retired from owning a beauty shop for many years to the country life in Bumpass. She and Tommy fulfilled their dream of owning a farm with many animals. It was not unusual to find an injured lamb or goose staying in her house as she nursed it back to health. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, loved attending the State Fair, vacationing at Ocracoke, and watching church services on tv. If you had any conversation with her longer than 5 minutes, you would hear about President Trump, Aaron Rogers, and your need for Jesus in your life.
She is now resting fully restored, and we look forward to being reunited again.
Visitation is set for Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at J.T. Morriss & Son in Chester, VA. Flowers received will be enjoyed by her friends at Magnolias of Chesterfield for their Thanksgiving holiday. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
