Elizabeth Petree

Elizabeth O. Petree, 101, of Hopewell, widow of Neil C. Petree, Sr., passed away Saturday, October 09, 2010. Born in Watertown, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harry James and Louisa Stalder Oliver. Mrs. Petree was a member of St. James Catholic Church and a former receptionist for J. T. Morriss & Son of Hopewell for many years. She is survived by her sons, Neal C. Petree, Jr. of Florida and Thomas O. Petree and his wife, Maria of Maryland; seven grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including: Dr. Francis Farrell and wife, Betty and Michael Foley and wife, Ann. A Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, October 13th at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 8:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Thursday at St. James Catholic Church, Hopewell, with The Rev. Frank Wiggins, officiating. Interment will follow at Appomattox Cemetery.
