Elizabeth Bane Saunders

Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Bane Saunders, 86, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira Aubrey Bane and Gertrude Oakes Bane; her husband of 63 years, James Warren Saunders, Sr.; her son, Otis Darrell Saunders; and her brothers, Ira Aubrey Bane, Jr. and Douglas Warren Bane. Liz enjoyed cooking and gardening. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son, James Warren Saunders, Jr. (Anne E. Latham); her grandson, James Warren Saunders III; and her sister-in-law, Ann Norman Saunders. A graveside service will be held at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, Petersburg, on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 11:00 AM.
