Elizabeth Mach Vesely

Elizabeth Mach Vesely, 92, of Petersburg, VA passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017. Born in Dinwiddie County, VA, She was the daughter of the late Vaclav and Elizabeth Vonasek Mach; and was also preceded in death by her husband, John W. Vesely; two brothers, Joe and Stanley Mach; three sisters-in-law, Catherine Mach, Margaret Cizler and Mary Ozmore; and a brother-in-law, Robert Ozmore. She was a life-long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mrs. Vesely was extremely proud of her Czech heritage and still communicated with many relatives in Czechoslovakia. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon V. Kidd and husband, Henry of Colonial Heights and Michelle V. Tiedeken and husband, Don of Chesterfield; one grandson, Brian Kidd and wife, Sarah of Portland, Oregon; one sister-in-law, Helen Uzel; a brother-in-law, Mike Cizler; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home followed by visitation until 4:30 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Petersburg, VA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery Fund, 151 W.
