Elizabeth Bain Williams, 92, a life-time resident of Wakefield, passed away Friday, May 28, 2010, in her home. Born December 1, 1917, she was the daughter of the late John Elim and Augusta White Bain and the widow of John Elliotte Williams, Sr. She attended Mary Washington College and was a member of the Wakefield United Methodist Church, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, and the APVA Thomas Rolfe Chapter.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her daughter, Cynthia W. Amicone and husband, Michael, of North Carolina; her son, John Elliotte Williams, Jr., and companion, Sharon Baldwin of Wakefield; granddaughter, Virginia Darnell Driscoll and husband, Matthew, and great-granddaughter, Neala K. Driscoll, of Iowa; granddaughter, Laura Darnell Brake and husband, Christopher, of Maryland; her sister, Clara B. Rogers, of Wakefield; numerous nieces and nephews; and Louise Stith, caregiver and friend.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, in Wakefield Cemetery. Friends and relatives are welcome to visit the family at the Williams residence.
