Wilson, Elizabeth Blankenship, 92, of Chesterfield, Virginia, was called home by her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 12, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Herman M. Wilson; her parents Robert “Bud” and Montese Blankenship and a brother Gordon Blankenship. She is survived by her son, Melvin F. Wilson, her daughter Helen W. Roach and husband Joe; four grandsons, Jason Roach and wife Kathy, William Roach and wife Vanessa; Tyler Roach and Wesley Roach; two great-granddaughters, Emily Roach and Sarah Roach; and one great-grandson Hunter Butterworth. She is also survived by two sister-in-laws; Anne Moore and Lucille Wilson, a niece Frances Z. Booker, a nephew, Gordon “G.G.” Blankenship, Jr.; two great-nieces, Rebecca Montgomery and Lydia Lloyd. Elizabeth was a 1940 graduate of Chester High School and a lifetime member of Second Branch Baptist Church. She had a great love for her family and her four grandsons. She loved to cook, sew and crochet. She loved sharing her baked goodies and garden vegetables with family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morris and Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Second Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
