Ella Greer Mays

Ella Mae Greer Mays, 85, a beloved mother and the widow of Cecil Ruben Mays, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday morning, August 21, 2012, at her daughterâ??s residence. Mrs. Mays was born a daughter of Edgar Greer and Myrtle Oaks Greer on November 6, 1926 in Minneapolis, NC. She committed her life to acts of selfless giving, fervent prayer, and an unconditional love to earn her the distinguished title â?? Beloved Mother. She leaves behind: two children, Cecil Dale Mays and his wife, Sheila, and Donna Carol Cribb and her husband, Allen; four grandchildren, Tammy, April, Melisa, and Michael; and a brother, Frank. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Brenda; a brother, Ernest; three sisters, Martha, Nell, and Marie; and a grandchild, Larry. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
