Ella Jones Mallory, 86, of Colonial Heights, passed away Tuesday September 11, 2007 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents , James Robert & Sallie Elizabeth Turner Jones her husband, Richard Wilson Mallory, sons; Richard Lee and Robert James Mallory, step father George W. Stell, several other brothers & sisters.. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, a dedicated homemaker and her children were her life. She is survived by her daughters; Delores â??Loisâ? Daulton & husband, Carlton of Chesterfield, Janice M. Gunn & husband, William â??Johnâ? of Colonial Heights, Linda M. Gunn & husband Douglas â??Macâ? of Dinwiddie, Carol M. Nelson & husband, Terry of Blackstone, Shirley J. Modlin & husband, Troy of Colonial Heights, a son; Ricky L. Mallory of Petersburg, a brother; Clinton â??Bumpseyâ? Stell & wife Burnett of Chesterfield, 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T.Morriss & Son Funeral home & Cremation Service from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday September 13, 2007. A funeral service will be held at Grace Baptist Church 23814 River Road Petersburg, Virginia 23803 at 1:00 PM Friday September 14, with the Rev. Raleigh Nunnally officiating.
