Ella Nelms Mcduffie

Ella Mae Nelms McDuffie, 83, of Hopewell, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. McDuffie; brothers, Samuel, Bobby, and Aaron Nelms; and her sister, Lois Knight. She is survived by three daughters, Melba Bennett, Patsy Sebera (Thomas Sebera), and Barbara Causey, all from Hopewell; a stepson, Danny McDuffie of Alabama; sisters, Roxie Frame, Audrey Davis, Geraldine Bennett, and Martha Hicks; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2011 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg. A reception will follow the service at Crowder Memorial Baptist Church.
