Elmond Ray Shipp

Elmond Ray Shipp, 84, of North Prince George, VA, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022. Born in Clinton, NC, he was the son of Elmond Forest Shipp and Bessie Eva Hope Shipp. He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of over 54 years, Martha Shipp; his son, Billy Altman; and a daughter, Dana Ayers; brother, Wilton Shipp; sister, Alice Cobb; and sister-in-law, Junita Shipp Crisp. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Shipp; grandchildren, Crystal, Daniel, Timmy, and James; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Edna Shipp Mitchell; and special niece, Janet Mitchell; as well as numerous extended family and friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 26, 2022 at J.T. Morriss & Son Hopewell Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel. Interment will follow at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens.
