Eloise Phillips Franzyshen

Eloise Phillips Franzyshen, 69, of Sutherland, VA, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021. Born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late George O. Phillips and Marjorie Groves Mills. Mrs. Franzyshen was a retired educator from Chesterfield County Public Schools and had also worked in both Dinwiddie County and Hampton City Public Schools. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Dinwiddie and was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society (DKG) where she had served as both local chapter President and held several State Offices. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Ron Franzyshen; a sister, Allene Wright and husband, Mike; two nephews, Michael Wright and wife, Jan, and Ted Wright; a niece, Terzah Wright; three great-nephews, Michael, Ted and Henry; dear friends, Jackie and Mike Ferguson; and her many DKG sisters. Due to the ongoing pandemic, a memorial service will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church at a later time. The family is being served by the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
