Elsie Pollock Harrison, 82, of Laurel Spring Road, Prince George, died Tuesday, June 29, 2004 in Chippenham Medical Center in Richmond. She was born in Vineland, NJ and had spent most of her life in the Prince George area. Mrs. Harrison was a member of the Newville United Methodist Church, Newville United Methodist Women, a retired member of the Prince George County School Board, having served for 30 years, a charter member of the Woman’s Club of Prince George, and did various volunteer work in the community. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Cyril and Marie Corey Pollock, seven sisters, and six brothers. Mrs. Harrison is survived by her husband of 62 years, Henry Hinton Harrison, Jr. of Prince George, two daughters, Linda H. Gay and her husband Jerry of Clayton, NC, Karen E. Harrison and her husband David of Prince George, one son, Henry Hinton Harrison, III and his wife Jean, also of Prince George, 6 grandchildren, H. Hinton Harrison, IV, Kimberly A. Harrison, Tonya Humphrey, Sherry Lindell, Marie Harrison, Jennifer Harrison, and 5 great grandchildren, Hank Harrison, V, Nikki Lindell, Kayleigh Lindell, Brandon Humphrey and Zach Humphrey. A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 1, 2004 at 11:00AM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Beverly Nelan, Associate Pastor of Newville United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George.
