Elsie Hendricks

Elsie Sacra Hendricks, 88, formerly of Hopewell died February 26, 2005 at Eden Pines in Petersburg. She was born in Ashland the daughter of the late Willard and Ida Sacra. Mrs. Hendricks was a member of First Baptist Church in Hopewell and retired from Wyatts Florist of Hopewell. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd C. Hendricks and a sister Gladys Myers. She is survived by two daughters, Donna Devier and husband Glenn of Church Road, Janas Horner and husband Stanley of Richmond; three grandchildren Jerry Suyes and wife Beckie of Hopewell, Kris Horner and wife Melissa of Texas, Sara Warren and husband Dace of Texas; four great-grandchildren, Matthew Suyes of Chesterfield, Kayla Warren of Texas, Amanda Horner and Ashley Horner both of South Carolina; one great-great-grandchild, Brooklyn Horner of South Carolina; a sister, Virginia Boyette of Richmond; two brothers, Willard Sacra and wife Agnes of Richmond, Alfred Sacra and wife Bonnie of Hopewell. Funeral services will be held at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 1st with Dr. John Carpenter officiating, interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday night from 7 to 8:30 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Central Virginia, the Activity Fund at Eden Pines, an Animal Shelter of your choice, or the Alzheimer?s Association.
