Elsie "June" Collins Partin

June Collins Partin, 92, of Hopewell, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Susan Collins; loving husband, Bolling S. Partin, Sr.; son, Bolling Partin, Jr.; sister, Jackie McDiarmid; brother, Samuel “Mud Turtle” B. Collins, Jr. She is survived by her son, Richard Partin (Robin); son, John B. Partin, Sr. (Cindy); grandchildren, Bolling Partin III; Nathan Partin (Hillary); Stephen Partin, Seth Partin (Becky); John B. Partin, Jr.; and Allison Partin; great-grandchildren, Bolling Partin IV, and Calla Partin; brother, William Collins (Vickie); as well as numerous extended family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to a special caregiver, Jackie Tatum. June was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Hopewell; and a charter member of Bermuda Hundred Methodist Church. She was the plant nurse at Allied Chemical for over 33 years, and then served as Secretary-Treasurer for Partin Oil Co. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 4 to 6pm at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Hopewell Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11am, Monday, September 17, 2018. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Stoney and June Partin Scholarship in care of the John Randolph Foundation P.O.
