Elsie Bresko Rusnak, age 95, widow of George A. Rusnak, went to her heavenly home Saturday evening, October 13, 2012. She was at home surrounded by her beloved family members. Born in a farm home in Disputanta, Virginia, she and her four brothers were raised by their parents, Andrew and Dorothy Bresko. She married George A. Rusnak in 1944 and together they raised their four children on the family farm. Mrs. Rusnak was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Congregational Church, where she served as choir director, organist, pianist, Sunday school teacher, and a member of the Willing Workers Club and the Piece Makers Club. She was a retired employee of the Prince George Department of Social Services. She is survived by her children, Dorothy R. Wiltshire and husband, Phil of Powder Springs, GA, Al Rusnak and wife, Robin of Prince George, Ron L. Rusnak and wife, Dianne of Franklin, VA, and Joyce R. Lombard and husband, Don of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Tanya Curren, Carrie Woodlief, Jason Wiltshire, Brent Rusnak, Marshall Rusnak, Barrett Rusnak, Logan Rusnak, and Blakely Canupp; eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 19th at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Rev. Pat Elder officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
