Elva Thornton Thompson

Elva Thornton Thompson, 73, of Chesterfield, Virginia, passed away on May 20, 2021. Born in Charlottesville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Robert Franklin Thornton and Grace Gleason Lewis Medlock. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, John Grady Thompson; daughter, Christine Marie Bryant and brothers, Jerome Thornton, Sr. and Randy Biscoe. A graduate of Petersburg High School, Elva will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed bowling, crafting, fishing and relic hunting. She is survived by her son, Marion L. Clarke, Jr. and wife Melissa; step son, Richard A. Thompson and wife Karen; sister, Lessie T. Moore and husband Carter; sister, Tara B. Bish and husband Donnie; sister, Linda T. Kopeshke; brother Jessie T. Biscoe; several nieces and nephews; many grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
