Emil Fred Seitz Sr.

Emil Fred Seitz, Sr., 93, of Hopewell, VA, died Monday, February 12, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Carl Seitz and Ellen Cynthia Higgins Seitz; his wife, Charlotte Louise Cain Seitz; and a son, Rodney C. Seitz. A decorated World War II combat veteran, Mr. Seitz proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Battle of the Bulge, and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He was a longtime member and Deacon at West End Presbyterian Church. He is survived by a son, E. Fred Seitz, Jr. of Hopewell; grandchildren, Bradley N. Seitz of Chester, Travis C. Seitz of California, and Jessica Seitz Corizzo of Hawaii; great-grandchildren, Skylar Corizzo and Elijah Corizzo; sister-in-law, Leetha J. Hodnett and her family. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Reed officiating.
