Emma Gay Davis, 82, of Prince George, VA, was surrounded by loved ones when she went to be with the Lord on June 2, 2024. She was born May 25, 1942, in Petersburg, VA, to the late Sarah Harrison Gay and James Edward Gay, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Weaver "Dave" Davis; a brother, Robert "Bobby" Allen Gay; her sister and partner-in-crime, Peggy Gay Faulkner; and two angelic granddaughters, Jennifer Nicole Bailey and Brittany Renee Bailey. She was whole-heartedly devoted to the Lord as a member of Second Baptist Church, of Petersburg as well as her family. Anyone who knew her knew her never-ending love for the Dallas Cowboys. She leaves behind her daughters, Lori P. Rhodes, of Chester, VA and Sharon Bailey, of Prince George, who was her devoted caregiver until the end; three grandchildren, who knew her as Nena, Stephanie Moiczek (Matthew), and Joshua and Zachary Rhodes; the apple of her eye, her great-granddaughter, Sophia Nicole Moiczek; her three brothers, Gary Gay (Pat), Jimmy Gay (Connie), and Ricky Gay (Red); as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews, all of whom knew her lovingly knew her as "Pug." On behalf of the family, we would like to just say how proud we are of those who stepped up in her final years. Your love and care meant more to the family than words can express. There will be a private family viewing, then a graveside service on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Southlawn Memorial Park. Following the service, there will be a reception at Second Baptist Church in Petersburg.
How 'bout them Cowboys!
