Emma M. Goble

Emma M. Goble, 83, of Petersburg, VA, died Tuesday April 13, 2021. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frances and Isabelle Thierry. Preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; brother; and one grandchild. She is survived by her children, Patricia Kestner (Roy), Maria Goble, Fred T. Goble III, Cynthia Ortiz (Angel); sister, Betty Thierry Smith; Elizabeth Goble, her granddaughter and caretaker; eight additional grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Emma retired from Central State Hospital where she worked for over 25 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, neighbor and friend. The family would like to give a special thanks to Encompass Hospice faculty and staff for their support and care. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Monday April 19, 2021 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T.Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The service will be livestreamed, go to www.jtmorriss.com .
