Emma Bailey Virostek, 66, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 28, 2007. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Emma was a special lady who never met a stranger and was always willing to do whatever was needed to lend a helping hand to someone in need. She was a life long resident of the tri-city area and was a member of Oakland Baptist Church for 27 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard C and Alice Sampson Bailey; husband, Victor Virostek, Sr. and brothers, Robert and Buddy Bailey. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Litchfield and husband, Jack and Deborah Sokol and husband, Linwood; step-children, Susan Faison, Kathie Jones, Victor Virostek, Jr. and Mike Virostek; grandchildren, Ashley Turner, Skylar Litchfield, Danielle Casey, Victoria Blankenship, Whitney Blankenship and Lindsay Sokol; great-grandchild, Brooklynn Hubbard; brothers, Richard Bailey, II and Jimmy Bailey and sister, Girtrude Stewart. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Friday, November 30, 2007 from 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11 am on Saturday, December 1, 2007. Burial will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park.
