Emma Lou Bibos Vonetes, 83, of Petersburg, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007. She was the widow of John G. Vonetes. She was a member of St Elpis Greek Orthodox Church in Hopewell, the Ladies Philoptochos Society of Richmond and Daughters of Penelope of Hopewell, Chapter 224. She and her husband owned and operated the first family style restaurant in Petersburg called Lee House Diner. She is survived by her twin daughters, Sandra and Maria Vonetes of D.C. and three sisters. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Sunday, March 18, 2007 from 6 to 8 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, March 19, 2007 at 11 am at St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Richmond. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery in Richmond. Memorial contributions may be to St Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral or St. Sofias Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 3600 Mass Ave NW, Washington, D.C. 20007 in memory of Emma Vonetes for Spring Festival.
