Emmett Davis Rhue, 83, of Matoaca, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 12, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Emmett & Kathleen Laughinghouse Rhue, wife Mary Lee Rhue, and sisters Barbara Ann and Myrtle Rhue. Emmett was a tobacco farmer for over 20 years in Dinwiddie County, was a member of the Carpenters Local in Richmond, loved spending time in Nagâ??s Head, NC, going to auctions and was a member of Matoaca Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons; David A. Rhue of Matoaca, Pete Joyner & wife Nancy of Colonial Heights, daughters; Patricia A. Bell & husband, Bill, of Hopewell, Linda Faye Croote of Hopewell, brothers & sisters; L. Mason Rhue of Peoria, Ill., Aubrey L. Rhue of Anniston, AL, Richard W. Rhue of Laurinburg, NC, Jather D. Rhue of Jacksonville, FL, Charles H. Rhue of Colonial Heights, Floyd A. Rhue of Indianapolis, IN., D. Darlene Rhue-Stewart of Laurinburg, NC., numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friend at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service on Wednesday November 16, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel on Thursday November 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Joey Bohapec of Elevation Church Officiating.
