Emory Eugene Stallard, 70, of Chesterfield County died August 30, 2006 in a Chattanooga, TN hospital after a very brief illness. Born in Coeburn, VA he was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife, Frances S. Stallard; his parents John D. and Orpha Powers Stallard; five brothers; two sisters; and one granddaughter. Emory was a member of the American Legion, Colonial Heights Post No 284 and retired from Allied Chemical, Honeywell in Chesterfield County. He is survived by his children, Eugena Martin and husband Tommy of Dinwiddie, VA, Darlene Lewis and husband Hayward of Chester, VA, Greg Shaw and wife Sue of Chester, and Mitch Fletcher of Hopewell, VA. Other family members include two sisters, Nancy Curtain and Marlene Adkins; one brother, Dayton Stallard; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 2, 2006 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Chesterfield J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service where funeral services will follow on Sunday at 2:00 pm. Interment will be held at Bermuda Memorial Park.
