Ercelle Lockett

Ercelle C. Lockett, 92, passed away Sunday, November 30, at the home of her daughter in Wakefield, VA. Born in Greensville County, she was the daughter of the late Obie L. and Sarah Scarborough Cockes. In addition, she was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Ernest Lee Lockett, Jr. Mrs. Lockett was the oldest living member of Elm Street Baptist Church where she was active for many years. She is survived by a son, Donald E. Lockett and wife, Arline of Tucson, AZ; daughters, Gypsy L. Rollings and husband, Gardner of Wakefield and Claire L. Marsh and husband, Herbert of Chesterfield; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 3, at Blandford Cemetery with The Reverend Harvey Skinner, Pastor of Elm Street Baptist Church, officiating.
