Ercelle Gordon Varga

Ercelle Gordon Varga of Boydton, Virginia (Formerly of McKenney and Bracey VA) went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 11, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Harry and Willie Anderson Gordon and widow of Daniel David “Shorty” Varga who predeceased her in 2008. Ercelle retired from the Defense General Supply Center after 17 years of service and she served as a Cub Scout den mother for five years. She was a member of McKenney Baptist Church and also attended River Ridge Chapel. She is survived by her children, Wayne Varga (Dianne), Mikie Varga, Sr. (Joyce) , Carolyn Southard (Scott); grandchildren, Stephanie Wilson, Patrick Varga (Jennifer), Kevin Varga (Stephanie), Michael Varga, Jr. ,Bobbi Southard, Brian Southard (Kaitlin), Krystal Everhart, John David Everhart IV, Joshua Everhart, Matthew England (Liz) , Kimberly Assenmacher (Dre), Ted and Joe Lilly (Barbara); great grandchildren, Taylor, Hunter, and Noah Wilson, Payton and Rylan Varga, Alexandria and Brooklynn Varga, Makayla, Nevaeh and Jourjah Varga, Samuel and Reilly Southard, Andrew and Joseph England, Chase and Addison Assenmacher, Hayden and Evan Lilly, Connor and Ethan Lilly; great great grandchild, Alexis Cromartie; Nieces Phyllis Lilly (Harry) and Sandra England (Dennis). The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home on Monday, January 13, 2014 from 6-8pm and Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 6-8pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 15th, at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Waverly Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McKenney Baptist Church at 11012 Cutbank Church Road, McKenney, VA 23872 or River Ridge Chapel at 20 Boardman Drive, Bracey, VA 23919.
