Ernest Louis Guastella

Ernest Louis Guastella, 85, of Chester, VA, entered eternal rest on Sunday, July 10, 2016. He was born February 23, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY, to Ernesto and Augustine Anacreonte Guastella. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 58 years, Angela Louise Guastella, and beloved first grandsons, Jason Robert and Daniel Christopher Colecchia. Mr. Guastella proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Merrill Lynch in 1994 and relocated to Chester, VA to be near his family. He was a member of The Heights Baptist Church and the American Legion. He enjoyed traveling, photography, art, gardening, camping, and fishing. Mr. Guastella is survived by his daughters, Dianne Guastella and Christine J. Reoch and husband, Paul A. Reoch; sons, Richard Guastella and Michael S. Guastella and wife, Aurelia Henshaw Guastella; grandchildren, Jonathan Reoch, Christopher Reoch, Jennifer Roberts and husband, Jason, Korissa and Anthony Guastella; great-grandson, Aiden Christian Reoch; brother, Alfred Guastella. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
