Ernest Beville Lee

Ernest Beville Lee, 89, a lifelong resident of DeWitt, VA, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Sidney and Gertrude Beville Lee, his first wife, Edith Hart Lee, and a son, James Harold Lee. Mr. Lee was a retired tobacco farmer and a mail carrier in his community for over 40 years. He was a lifelong member of Rocky Run United Methodist Church and a member of the Dewitt-Rocky Run Ruritan Club. Mr. Lee is survived by his wife, Ruby Abernathy Lee; sons, Ernest Lee, Jr. and David Lee and his girlfriend, Bridgette Clary; daughter, Janet Bowen and husband, Tom; grandchildren, Steven Lee and wife, Helen, Susan Bowen, and Nicholas Bowen; great-grandchildren, Hunter Lee and Conner Lee; step-children, Bonnie Sue Thompson and husband Dennis, and Johnny Bain and wife, Debbie; step-grandchildren, Erin Bain and Andrew Bain, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends, Ollie Walker, Carrie Robinson, Ardy Robinson and Marie Robinson. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 16, at Rocky Run United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rocky Run UMC.
