Ernest Washington Poole Jr.

Ernest Washington Poole, Jr., 81, of Petersburg, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest W. and Josephine Griffin Poole; wife, Barbara E. Poole; son, George Poole; and granddaughter, Debra Marie Poole. Ernest was a member of Dinwiddie Moose Lodge, Matoaca Sportsman's Club and American Legion Post # 2. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon E. Poole; two brothers, Daniel Poole and wife, Rhonda and Richard A. Poole Sr.; nephew, Richard A. Poole, Jr. and wife, Sandra; and other extended family. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Monday, July 13, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Ivan Perkinson officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
