Ernestine Oliver

Mrs. Ernestine Meiggs ?Tina? Oliver, 82, of Richmond, died Friday, October 28, 2005 at her residence. She was born in Coinjock, North Carolina and was a former Ivor Street resident in Hopewell. Mrs. Oliver was an active member of Merchants Hope Episcopal Church and a retired supply management officer with Defense General Supply at Bellwood. She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Sallie Bright Meiggs, her sisters, Elizabeth Midgette and Minnie Owens and her brothers, Edward, George and Griggs Meiggs. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, John Robert Oliver of Richmond, six sisters, Norma Brake of Rocky Mount, NC, Jean Worley of Henrico, NC, Sara Siegel of New York, NY, Elizabeth Eckert of Salem, ORE, Kathryn Harrell of Virginia Beach, VA and Ruth Crain of Coinjock, NC, a special friend, Ann Green of Hopewell, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at noon in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George, with Rev. Marjorie S. Bevans, interim Rector of St. Pauls Episcopal Church, Petersburg, officiating.
