Esther Deloris Vaughan

Esther (Lois) Vaughan, 83, of Petersburg, died Monday April 6, 2015 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Vaughan was born in Russell County and had been a resident of Petersburg for many years. She was the daughter of the late John D. Compton and Mrs. Selma McClusky and step-father John R. McClusky. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Kyle Johnson and Ikie Compton. She is survived by her sons, Michael Vaughan and wife, Patricia, and Mitchell Vaughan and wife, Yvonie; three granddaughters, Debbie Vaughan, Michelle Vaughan and Kim Vaughan; five great-grandsons; one niece and one nephew. Mrs. Vaughan was a retired Quality Control Senior Lab Tech. from Allied-Signal, Chesterfield plant, with thirty years of service. She was a member of Crater View Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Wednesday April 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home.
