Ethel Oakley Harrison, 92, of Dinwiddie, widow of Herman B. Harrison, Sr., passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Born in Brunswick County, VA, she was the daughter of the late James Bonnett and Cora Leigh Bishop Oakley. She was also preceded in death by four of her siblings, Gladys O. Winfield, Dorothy O. Remorenko, James B. Oakley, and Violet O. Lewis. Mrs. Harrison was a longtime member of Kenwood United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Harrison Brown and husband, Doug; son, Herman B. Harrison, Jr. and wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Kevin D. Brown and wife, Amy, Danielle B. Ingraham and husband, Troy, Julie H. Eastwood and husband, Matthew, Wendy H. Woodburn and husband, Todd, and Abigail H. Miceli and husband, Nick; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Evelyn, Harrison, Rhys, Robby, Tristen, Ramona Jane, and Annie; siblings, Frances O. Pennington, John Woodrow Oakley, and Gale O. Titmus; brother-in-law, Roy W. Lewis, Sr., numerous nieces and nephews; devoted friends and neighbors, Karla Rowland and Paula Ramsey. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 3, at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
