Eugene Benton Carwile

Eugene Benton Carwile went to be with the angels, Tuesday, February 19, 2019. He was born August 27, 1930 in Seat Pleasant, MD; son of the late Ernest Benton Carwile and Minne Fore McNamee. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Carl, Milton, Cecil, Raymond, and Lewis Carwile and his first wife, Mildred Delores Carwile. He was a veteran of the United States Army Reserves as Warrant Officer serving 34 years. He served the greater portion of his career as a public servant in many capacities, the most recent as an equipment specialist at Fort Lee, Virginia. Eugene is survived by his children, Eddie Carwile and wife, Samantha, Bobby Carwile and wife, Pat, Vicky Carwile, Richard Carwile, and Shirl Szala and husband, Rick; grandchildren, Heather Davison, Ryan Carwile, Richie Carwile, Maddie Carwile and Scotlyn Szala; great-grandchildren, Lexi Davison and Nadia Carwile, and his loving fiancée, Gracie Haden. He also leaves behind his favorite and best friend Dino the rescue dog. The family will receive friends, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2019 at J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home of Chester, where a service will be held, at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2019. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Humane Society or the charity of your choice.
