EULA BARHAM BERRYMAN a resident Smithfield Convalescent Home died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007 at age 100. Born on July 12, 1907 in Isle of Wight, she was the daughter of John Isaac Barham and Alice Mae Scott Barham. A homemaker, she was the oldest member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Surry and had served as treasurer of her Sunday School Class for many years.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 47 years Lolie G. Berryman, a son, Winston G. Berryman, her sister Emily Scott and brothers Lloyd and Floyd Barham and her step-mother Noni M. Barham.
She is survived by a daughter Emily Gayle Brown and son-in-law James W. Brown of Smithfield, son Wayne Berryman and his wife Betty of Lakeland, Florida, daughter-in-law Winifred M. Berryman of Waverly, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 nieces and 2 nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday Jan. 1, 2008 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, with Reverend Ray Roland presiding. Burial will be in Oak Grove Church Cemetery, Surry. Visitation will be immediately before the funeral at 2:00 PM
